A thought
for our environment
Protecting
nature
Cinturificio Balzani is committed to protecting natural resources through sustainable practices. We use water-based dyes and adhesives, avoiding harmful chemicals. We choose to apply high-quality natural waxes by hand, which give our products an exceptional and safe finish. Additionally, we strive to reduce water and energy waste, aligning with our company vision and philosophy.
Controlled supply chain
The quality of our products begins with a rigorous selection of raw materials. We select the finest materials directly at fairs or tanneries, relying solely on LWG-certified suppliers. The LWG (Leather Working Group) certification is an international recognition that assesses the environmental performance of tanneries, ensuring that the leather is produced sustainably and responsibly. We personally verify the origin of the hides and the quality control of each piece of leather that arrives at our company. We prefer Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather, an Italian patent known for its excellent quality. This tanning process uses natural tannins, reducing environmental impact and ensuring a durable and precious product.
Fighting Waste
We repurpose belt production scraps to create bracelets, keychains, and other small leather accessories. Smaller scraps are given to other artisanal businesses that use them in their products, ensuring that every part of the material is valued. This approach not only reduces waste but also promotes more sustainable and responsible production.
Maximum Respect Throughout All Stages
Respect is at the heart of everything we do. It’s not just about respect for the environment, but also for people and work. As a family business, we see our employees and customers as part of a larger family. This integrated and respectful approach allows us to build a bond of trust and satisfaction, which is reflected in the quality and reliability of our products.
